So I Remember What to Do!

Hyperhidrosis is a fairly common disorder shared by millions across the world.

By definition, Hyperhidrosis is the excessive sweating of the head, face, hands, feet and armpits no matter the temperature or conditions.

The sweating is erratic, unpredictable and uncontrollable. You do have some options.

To stop the excessive sweating try:

1. Drysol

Drysol is a prescription deodorant that works wonders for underarm, hand and foot sweating.

Apply it to your hands, feet, armpits or anywhere else you sweat at night before bed. You only need to apply it once a day - it's not like regular deodorant. This stuff is Clinical

Strenghth. Beware of irritation with Drysol. You may have to take a day or two off from this treatment if your skin gets too dry, sensative or red with a rash.

2. Drink more water to lower your body temperature.

A lot of people are confused by this solution. They think if they drink more water, it will give them that much more fluid to sweat out. This is totally incorrect.

Drinking more water cools your core temperature and will alleviate some of the excessive sweating.

Of course now you'll need to worry about all those bathroom breaks. :)

3. Drink Green Tea or Sage Tea at night

Tea contains an astringent property which will dry out oils and prevent excess moister from escaping the skin. It essentially drys you from the inside out.

In addition to helping your complexion, green tea will neutralize many of the toxins that create the pungent odor in sweat. By the way, that odor is caused by bacteria that treats your sweat as a breeding ground. Gross!

4. Try Certain Dri (non-prescription deodorant)

You can buy this one at most pharmacies. Certain dry is a little less abrasive than Drysol so you won't need to worry as much about irritation. It is however a little less strong.

You'll want to gauge your level of Hyperhidrosis by first trying Certain Dri. If your sweating continues, upgrade to Drysol and that should do the trick.

5. Avoid spicy foods, alcohol and caffeine

Don't underestimate the power of your diet. Onions, Garlic, Curry, Coffee and a whole host of other ingredients are powerful triggers for hyperhidrosis sweating.

Cut out some of these cultprits and see gradual but noticeable results. Add leafy greens and tea into your diet for a positive effect on sweating. Changing your diet will really cut out the spontaneous sweating from your daily lunch breaks.

6. Try Iontophoresis treatments.

This is more of a phase 3 solution. Try the clinical deodorants and diet fixes first.

However, there is a treatment called Iontophoresis where you place your hands and feet into bowls or plates. The plates are filled with mineral water.

Connected to the plates is an Iontophoresis electromagnetic device. Gentle electic pulses are distributed through mineral
water. The minerals bond and temporarily change the nature of your sweat pores to block the sweat.

This treatment works well. You can learn about it through the Source link I've provided below.

7. Try a Sage Tea Soak

There's something called a Sage Tea solution what you do is...
a. Buy Sage Tea from your supermarket
b. Fill a large bowl with room temperature water
c. Put the sage tea bags in the bowl
d. Let the tea dissolve a bit.
e. soak your hands or feet for 15 minutes.

Sage Tea will act as an astringent to dry the skin and prevent excessive sweating for many days to follow.

Don't just do this soak one day. Do it everyday for 5 days straight (15 minutes at a time) and you'll see great results.

If your hands tan from the tea, just wash them in the sink with antibacterial soap. The residue will come off easily.

8. ETS (Endoscopic Thorasic Surgery)

If the sweating is bad enough, some people will opt towards ETS (Endoscopic Thorasic Surgery).

This is, however, a LAST resort. I recommend you try everything else possible before opting towards surgery. You can speak with your Dermatologist to find out more.

Since moving down to Wilmington.... i have done alot of being lazy, but have had a great time.

Last summer my roommate Ben was in Africa. His birthday was missed while over there and to celebrate the past birthday we decided to go to the Atl. Here are some pictures that give a glimps of what we saw, memories, and graffiti haha.

Before we left to go home Ben told me he would not fall asleep! I laughed and said "Yeah Right".... a few hours later i took this picture of him asleep.

There is normally a line for the barbecue combo on tuesdays... but seeing it like this made me glad that so many other people share the same passion for the combo that i had to take a picture. almost done with school! Can't wait to relax and sleep more and do sports and travel.

1. relax and remember it's summer
2. but get a job to pay for things
3. live at the beach
4. surf and skate
5. visit app and camp for at least a week
6. jump off some waterfalls
7. film & shoot
8. travel somewhere cool
9. try living 3days as if you were in poverty with only $1.25 a day
10. adventures, explore, friends, love, no regrets, only live once

guess i made a list of what i want to do this summer not realizing it.
haha yeeeah.

I saw this really clean firetruck pull up as i was walking home. two guys in suits jumped out. i was like "WHAT??!". it was probably one of the weirdest, coolest, ironic things i had seen in a long time. was not expecting two clean cut, suit wearing men to get off that beast, but i stayed and watched and they quickly took off their shoes and jackets and threw on the proper fire man attire. It was awesome. like Superman/Clark Kent status awesome. anyways since i saw that happen i've been talking about how im going to volunteer at a fire station if i don't get my lifeguard job. either way i get to save lives.

oh yeah, once they ran into the building... i hopped onto the back and waved my arms around to pretend like i was legit too. felt really really empowering.

1st is the worst. 2nd is the best.

over this past summer, i would have to say my life has drastically changed in so many ways. first off i lived in daytona beach, florida and was a life guard there at a water park. it was awesome! My relationship with Christ exploded and grew exponentially. And i have been able to do some amazing traveling. Oh yeah, wait, forgot i met this super cute girl who is always ready for some sort of adventure with me.

the first picture was a date Laura Beth and I did. happend to come across this bike and got some cool pictures on it.

one thing after living in daytona was that you had to follow NASCAR. ive never been to one so ben, kelly, LB, and i all went to a race. we thought it was 500 laps, but it wasn't and it ended pretty suddenly before we really could understand what was going on. but was still a great time.

that last picture is from my more recent journey.. while trying to procrastinate from leaving raleigh, i was asked "what's one thing that no one knows about you?" haha not able to give a solid answer i eventually came up with the idea that we could do something and not let anyone know we did it. the thinking began and the next thing i know im driving down to wrightsville beach on a sunday night at 1am. we made it to the beach!! what happened next? well it wouldn't be a secret that nobody knew if i told you. so it remainds sealed, exclusive, ours. a moment in time that only us two know about. but looking at the picture the drive home was pretty difficult. keeping my eyes open was like keeping a popsicle in july from melting; it slowly happens no matter what.

Before we left raleigh, i began to second guess my decision. i prayed for God to show me what his will is. Once home my mom read this to me out of an email she had recieved. Thats when i knew we had to go...

This can be a glimps of what my life has been like the past few weeks. good laughs, fun ideas, good friends, and the beach. i feel that the beach almost has a natural remedy of curing any of your problems. I had really bad athletes foot from playing so much soccer and skateboarding, but after a week at the beach it goes away. Also i feel like i run to the beach when im having alot of problems in my life. while im there i can take the time and think and evaluate my life, where i am, what i want, and how im living. the beach is an amazing place that just does things. idk it just works for anything like duct tape.

the first is the new style of sun glasses. there called rimless sun stopage.
the other two pictures is of my hand that was dipped in wax a few good times, then cooled off, and had the opportunity to color it, but liked it all white. its hollow too. pretty sweet. guy doing it said he gets alot of shockers, middle fingers, ect.

A really good/awesome friend once sent me this picture of him surfing in santa cruz, california... and i like it alot. the second pic is of a sticker i saw at harris teeter and thought it was humorous. The last picture on here is from a motorcycle convention that was being held downtown on fayettville street and the rain didn't stop the gangs from coming out to show off thier bikes. basically i need a motorcycle asap... so anyone selling a used bike, hit me up im interested.

step 1. take a box that looks good.

step 2. draw a frame(s) on the box that you are going to cut out

step 3. cut em out. and decorate outside with whatever you want. i used sharpies.

step 4. the cut outs can make a cool fallen logo if you do a square frame.

step 5. draw/cut/or paste something in the middle. now you have a new picture frame.

It has been raining up here lately and so i have spent my time in my room. I just finished reading a Sports Illistrated article about Kelly Slater and, well I must say that I love skateboarding, but all I want to do right now is paddle out on my surfboard.

Been doing some exploring here and there. Not just the streets, but the woods as well. It always seems to me that i take something out of a camping trip. I've been camping soooo many times, and they are never the same experience.

When i first started this bad boy, Fresh Setups, I had this mentality. I guess it was not that important to me since i didn't follow through. Now i will try to upgrade myself, and put some stuff up here more often.
